Meet Mazey

She had a home and was well cared for. Unfortunately, due to the economy, she was surrendered to Windsor Animal Control.
Mazey is a 1 to 2-year-old beige/white pitbull mix, with a fabulous personality!  She will jump through hoops (figuratively) to make you happy.  All she needs is a chance at a great home, preferably with no small children, and (ideally)  a yard to run around in.
Her adoption fee is $50 which includes a low cost spay/neuter voucher.  The voucher will offer spaying, distemper and rabies vaccinations.  Microchipping is $15.
If you'd like to meet Mazey, please call Windsor Animal Control at 860-688-5273, ext. 556.

Inappropriate comments at a board meeting

This is the footage from the budget meeting on April 11 and about 41 minutes into the meeting deputy mayor Alan Simon began commenting on the budget for the animal control officer and that is when he referred to an animal control officer as  “a dog catcher”. Then he continued that with the budget allotted for the AOC we could “pay for a dog catcher and a teacher”. I think his comments were unprofessional, insulting and undermining to great OCA’s everywhere and an apology is in order.
